Sunlight's Bane - The Blackest Volume: Like All Earth Was Buried

Blackened Grinders SUNLIGHT’S BANE will release debut album The Blackest Volume: Like All the Earth Was Buried on February 17, 2017 via Innerstrength Records. Formerly called TRAITOR, SUNLIGHT’S BANE has crafted a sound so inherently dark and repulsive that even the sunlight will withdraw and run from it!

The Blackest Volume: Like All the Earth Was Buriedwas recorded by Andy Nelson at Bricktop Recordings (Harm's Way, Weekend Nachos, Exalt, Dead In the Dirt) and mastered by Brad Boatright of Audiosiege (Nails, Full of Hell, Integrity, Twitching Tongues).

BIO:
SUNLIGHT'S BANE was started originally under the name TRAITOR in 2011 by several friends whose bands had been playing together for years. All members wanted to start a band that would simply strip themselves of the clean and organized approach to aggressive music that had become commonplace and focus on writing truly alarming, frightening and aggressive music. The idea was to combat the complacent attitude of contemporary music, through sound, presentation, and themes in their music, which is what led to the combining genres of abrasive and political hardcore of the 90s with the bleak and nihilistic sound and atmosphere of European black metal.

After touring for numerous years around the country, the band slowly began to craft and focus their sound and approach following years of varying influences and visions of what the project should and should not be. Eventually the band in 2015 decided before recording its debut record to essentially reboot the system by changing its name . The band decided that the best way to abridge the old material and band into the new would be to pick an older song title for the new name, setting on the song title "Sunlight's Bane" from their debut EP Shadowheart, which they describe as being a description of something so inherently dark and repulsive that even sunlight would withdraw and run from it. It's he feeling they hope their upcoming album The Blackest Volume: Like All the Earth Was Buried on Innerstrength Records conveys in listeners.
